Retiring Australian cobberdogs looking for their perfect forever home-
We Rarely Have Older Dogs Being Rehomed Now, As Our Breeding Dogs Live In Their Own Homes From The Get Go As Guardian Dogs
Lucie is looking for a new home. She went to a big farm but it hasnt worked out for her.
Lucie does not get along with the cat in her present home, not too surprising as she never grew up with cats. Lucie needs a home with no cats, chickens ect, she does have a prey drive. She would love a home with another cobberdog, or a gentle desexed dog. She needs a home that will be there for her. A home perhaps where the family has rehoming experience as a rehomed dog can take as long as a year to fully settle in.
When we had Lucie she was an absolute sweetheart. Not a bad bone in her body, ever so sweet, gentle and goofy. She is a bit vocal at times, but once settled i am sure this will work itself out. For us she just barked when people arrived, but loves people, loves dogs and loves a game of ball. But if you are interested in Lucie you must be aware that she is more vocal, and whilst settling in that will be increased. For us while she did like to let us know someone was arriving, after alerting us and the visitor arriving she loved to say hello and have a game of ball. But a rehomed dog can show reactivity and be on high alert for sometime so the family needs to be in it for the long haul. We didnt get Lucie ourselves until she was 10 months and it did take her some time to settle. But she was absolutely worth it, once she is fully settled and fully trusts you she is the most beautiful, sweet, kind dog and we all adored her.
This girl is dear to our hearts and we are so sad it hasnt been the right fit for her. It is very important that her next home are experienced dog people, will love her unconditionally and be there for her forever.
She really is the most beautiful girl, and will make someone very happy. Rehomed dogs do take time to settle, so the family really needs to be in it for the long run. A friendly doggy companion would be great for Lucie,,,but no cats, chickens ect
Lucie is currently near Adelaide, so a south australian family could potentially meet her. Another friendly dog to show Lucie the way would be awesome, she loves doggy friends. But no cats please, as now she has lived with cats, we now know she will chase them.

Gosh another personality that we will really miss but i am so happy for Lucie. Her dream home popped up, a massive farm, another cobber and Lucie is loving retirement, what more can we ask !
Lucie had the maxiumum litters we would ever do: and very rarely. But Lucie was an amazing mum, really loved being a mum, did pregnancy well, whelped amazingly and we had no issues. Just a natural mumma dog, with so many amazing qualities to pass on.

Litter 3, Lucie x Zorro, 7 puppies
Litter 4, Lucie x whiskey/Albus 6 puppies
